Patrick J. Costello was born in Omaha, Nebraska in 1940. Shortly after moving to Iowa in 1957, he entered the commercial art field where he gained recognition as a gifted staff artist. In 1976, he left his job to become a self-employed artist, devoting all of his time to painting.
Patrick is a self-taught, highly motivated artist. He works from filed sketches and photographs he takes during the many hours he spends outdoors.
The works of Patrick J. Costello are displayed in corporate and private collections around the county and throughout the world. Patrick and his wife Joan, now live in the desert oasis town of Carefree Arizona, where he continues to paint subjects inspired from his travels and life experiences.
